On the Georgian Prime Minister’s decision, August 7 is declared Day of Mourning to commemorate the victims of the August 3 natural disaster at the resort of Shovi, Oni Municipality. The relevant executive order has been issued.
From midnight August 7 to midnight, August 8, national flags will be flown half-staff throughout the territory of Georgia.
In addition, from midnight August 8 to midnight August 9, national flags will be flown half-staff to pay homage to the memory of the victims of the large-scale military intervention carried out in Georgia by the Russian Federation to illegally occupy Georgia’s Regions of Abkhazia and Tskhinvali.
